The Count of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo follows the protagonist, Edmund Dantes, who is betrayed and falsely imprisoned on the eve of his wedding. While imprisoned, Dantes learns the location of the treasure on The Island of Monte Cristo. Dantes escapes from the prison and uses the treasure to become the Count of Monte Cristo.
