The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper is the second novel in his Leatherstocking Tales. It takes place during the French and Indian War. Two sisters, Cora and Alice Munro, are captured by a Huron tribesman named Magua and must be rescued by Hawkeye, Uncas, and Chingachgook.
